Magnetic cards
Plastic cards with magnetic strips always cooperate with the reading device.
Magnetic stripe cards are dual: HiCo and LoCo.
The magnetic strip card must be coded – personalized – before it is used in the system. Special encoders are used for this purpose. In most cases, the cards are also personalized graphically (bearing a specific number, name, etc.)
The reader recognizes the type of the card, reads out the necessary data and performs the appropriate operation (e.g. opens the door, records the entry, lifts the barrier, counts points into the system, deducts points, issues money, ...).
The uses of magnetic stripe cards are multiple - in access, customer, and payment systems. (Restaurants, clubs, travel agencies, gas stations, retail, etc.).
